The Role of ‘MILITARY MENTALITY’ and Indian Intelligence Agencies at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (A.I.I.M.S), New Delhi, and Other Indian Institutions and Health Establishments

Caution: Before starting to read this blog, make it sure, you are in a cool, comfortable, and a peaceful environment, because as a consequence of reading and putting into action what you read, might put your life in serious danger and most importantly the life of your loved ones (your wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend, parents, and offspring is usually their first target depending on the order of how much you love them), it is them who bear the brunt of attack by Indian authorities; it is them who would be used against you, and also, you would be used against them.

My comments should not be generalised. Yes, generalisation is a double-edged sword and so is fame, but any country, establishment, or an institution, is represented by a few who are sitting amongst its top echelons.

They represent the whole establishment and a nation.

Although, I feel ashamed as an Indian (which has no significance to the high and mighty in Indian institutions/establishments, Indian bureaucracy, and Indian Army, on the contrary, by their lame justifications and blatant indifference, they often portray how independence and the veil of democracy have made them brazen); I would definitely mention an incident that left me completely shocked, though not immediately; but, it didn’t make even a small dent in the burgeoning ego and complacency of India’s administrators and India’s intelligence agencies.

A female A.I.I.M.S, New Delhi, Resident, M.Ch. (Magister Chirurgiae)  (name withheld) was made to perform massage of private parts of an unconscious male patient (under “anaesthesia”; I do not remember the age of the patient), inside the operation theatre, on an operating table, with the patient lying supine, at the time of cleaning and draping. (making it seem as a part of the operating procedure)
The patient came for a prosthetic testicular implant in the department of paediatric surgery at A.I.I.M.S, New Delhi. Initially, I thought of it, to be a part of the operating procedure, or lack of proper training on the part of the resident. On a thorough and careful research, and contemplation, I came to the conclusion === It was an act of ‘Hazing’ (maybe, to get some knowledge about  functionality of nerves causing erection; Erectile Dysfunction Medscape: Medscape Access)

but slowly and gradually, I realised, this was a deliberate ploy to maintain their hegemony. Through this behaviour, they try to entice the observer. It all happened right in front of my eyes. I was shocked and in disbelief.

I was diagnosed as suffering from schizophrenia by the head of the department of paediatric surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi, as I never was in agreement with his method of bullying students at AIIMS and that of victimizing gullible people for attaining one’s goals, as a result, he even advised my parents to get me admitted under psychiatric care for proper treatment after I tried to lodge a complaint about his misdemeanours with higher authorities.

It’s a matter of shame that none of my other colleagues, residents, and faculty members tried to lodge a protest against such cases of “Hazing”, “Fragging”, “Ragging”, and “Bullying”. (patient was unconscious) It took me a while to understand everything. ( I was not explained the procedure beforehand)

When I tried to lodge a protest, I was insulted and humiliated by other faculty members, residents, employees. My A.P.A.R. (Annual Performance Appraisal Report) was manipulated. Moreover, I was later informed, this is how she would become strong and this is her nature; furthermore, she enjoys it. And it is only now (2018) that I realise I was banned from the field of paediatric surgery forever, as per the A.P.A.R. which A.I.I.M.S., New Delhi had formed. Such are the institutions of ‘Democratic’ India, a country which attained freedom from the Britishers on the premise of providing equal opportunity to every citizen of free India. 

  • All this while, (I learned only now, year – 2018) the authorities (bureaucracy and intelligence agency) were busy watching and enjoying the horror, what their ineptitude and incompetence had unleashed on me, and slowly and gradually trying to extract mileage, making me look like a fool/moron at the end, who was used physically and emotionally to run their errand.

They (employees? intelligence agents? – it is still difficult for me to figure it out) frequently used a term ‘ANAND’Anand (pronounced [aːnənd̪]) is a name of Indian origin, derived from the Sanskrit abstract noun आनन्द (ānand), which means happiness, upon my resignation from the post of senior-resident, a reaction in protest against the high-handed behaviour of the A.I.I.M.S. New Delhi authorities.

When confronted, one of the faculty members in the department of paediatric surgery at A.I.I.M.S, New Delhi, replied, “This is A.I.I.M.S culture, this has been happening here for past 22 years.” (with tears in his eyes), and all the other faculty members turned a blind eye to my allegations, and all the time M.Ch. residents from the Army Medical Corps either connived with them or instigated them against me.

[This is how the Indian Army maintains discipline and civility. Sadly, cowards and backstabbers, who are too meek to allow transparency and accountability, have the guts to label civilians as escapists and absconders (भगोड़ा). A one to one fight would have easily decided who’s who. Yes, Indian Army howsoever brave they might consider themselves to be are too afraid to fight up front.]

I can merely speculate; it might be a possibility that such incidents are a regular phenomenon at A.I.I.M.S., New Delhi as I had faced similar incidents during my under-graduation at A.I.I.M.S. too. 

  • Most of the times, doctors, students, and employees (staff) are brainwashed/hoodwinked into believing that such acts are being done for their benefit, and for the betterment of the institution; they are made to believe that this is being done to weed out poisoned apples from the rest.

I have coined the word ‘MILITARY MENTALITY‘ for such people, who have an inherent “MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY” mentality. Such people believe in tit for tat.

  • My way or the highway is a predominantly American idiom that dates back to the 1970s.[1] It suggests an ultimatum like “take it or leave it“, which indicates that the listener(s) (who are typically not in a position to challenge the options, e.g. employees or those lacking money) must totally accept the speaker’s decision or suffer negative consequences such as being fired, asked to leave, or receive nothing. It may sometimes be seen with other pronouns, for example, her way or the highway. The idiom has been associated with narcissism[2][3][4] and micromanagement.[5]
  • Tit for tat –— actions done intentionally to punish other people because they have done something unpleasant to you

I have had the opportunity of working alongside many such people.

These people with military mentality do not represent a particular gender, caste, creed, religion, or any specific region: such people are present everywhere, from politicians (people’s representatives), intelligence agencies, bureaucracy, and armed forces to doctors, engineers, lawyers, teachers, scientists, researchers etc. etc.; every field comprises of such people.

 These men with military mentality are in a habit of treating all the others as fools,  undeserving of even the basic fundamental rights accorded to a human being and other basic amenities. These men/women/others think — it is only them that are sacrificing their lives, and the rest of the country/ citizens are living/enjoying at their expense.

These beings do not understand, through what internal anguish and tumult, innocent and honest people undergo, when they get insulted and humiliated repeatedly. They behave as a bunch of insensitive hooligans.

They suffer from, what we call “GRANDIOSITY”Grandiosity ( Grandiosity refers to an unrealistic sense of superiority—a sustained view of oneself as better than others that causes the narcissist to view others with disdain or as inferior—as well as to a sense of uniqueness: the belief that few others have anything in common with oneself and that one can only be understood by a few or very special people.)

Some of their character traits also border ‘Narcissism’.

Hotchkiss’ seven deadly sins of narcissism[edit]

Hotchkiss identified what she called the seven deadly sins of narcissism:[9]

  1. Shamelessness: Shame is the feeling that lurks beneath all unhealthy narcissism, and the inability to process shame in healthy ways.[clarify]
  2. Magical thinking: Narcissists see themselves as perfect, using distortion and illusion known as magical thinking. They also use projection to “dump” shame onto others.
  3. Arrogance: A narcissist who is feeling deflated may “re-inflate” their sense of self-importance by diminishing, debasing, or degrading somebody else.
  4. Envy: A narcissist may secure a sense of superiority in the face of another person’s ability by using contempt to minimize the other person or their achievements.
  5. Entitlement: Narcissists hold unreasonable expectations of particularly favourable treatment and automatic compliance because they consider themselves special. Failure to comply is considered an attack on their superiority, and the perpetrator is considered an “awkward” or “difficult” person. Defiance of their will is a narcissistic injury that can trigger narcissistic rage.
  6. Exploitation: Can take many forms but always involves the exploitation of others without regard for their feelings or interests. Often the other person is in a subservient position where resistance would be difficult or even impossible. Sometimes the subservience is not so much real as assumed.
  7. Bad boundaries: Narcissists do not recognize that they have boundaries and that others are separate and are not extensions of themselves. Others either exist to meet their needs or may as well not exist at all. Those who provide narcissistic supply to the narcissist are treated as if they are part of the narcissist and are expected to live up to those expectations. In the mind of a narcissist, there is no boundary between self and other.

Conflict within the environment is generally experienced as external to these individuals and not a measure of their own unrealistic expectations

Do not forget, they also take lives, and many use citizens as guinea pigs (bakra in Hindi = goat) or as cannon fodder to achieve their desired objectives. (Similar to the movie KAHAANI, wherein the protagonist Vidya Balan (screen name –Vidya Bagchi) plays a pregnant woman, is used by intelligence bureau. Their modus operandi lies in the fact that few innocent Indian citizens have to be sacrificed at the altar, to keep the country safe; without realising the truth that it is their incompetence and ineptitude that results in the formation of such an attitude, rather than as a necessary precondition; almost similar to the character traits of Bhallaladeva from the movie Baahubali: The Beginning.

  • While considering such a scenario, we should rather visualise it as a multifaceted diamond. One facet is —- people like ‘Vidya Bagchi’ from the movie Kahaani would have taken a revenge at any cost, why not use that emotion in a more constructive and helpful manner. By using her against Milan Damji (Indraneil Sengupta), they are quenching Vidya’s thirst for closure to her husband’s death, as well as, justice for the death of her unborn child.

Some of the men/women with military mentality consider innocent and gullible people as creatures of lower order, who better live in a zoo (all because of lack of discipline and presence of emotions).

I have personally had such an experience.

I have deliberately omitted names of some people, not out of fear, but because they are mere scapegoats in the larger scheme of things. This game is played at a much larger scale than previously thought.

There is a trend amongst intelligence agents to have multiple identities, the real identity is hidden from everyone, hence, I would try not to speculate.

When asked they would answer,

“We were only following orders.” (they only respect power and when they attain that power they respect none) It’s a matter of shame, beings who are not fit enough to be called humans are entrusted with the job of healing and protecting people. It is like keeping a flock of sheep amongst a pack of wolves, with a foolish assumption that wolves would protect them.

These have a military mindset, they respect only ‘POWER’ and have no sense of morality, ethics, or principles. They have an innate desire to win at any cost. They subjugate the weak to get the work done. They have mastered the art of manipulation. They manipulate common people to improve their standard of living; howsoever undeserving and incompetent they might be, to make use of those privileges; without caring two hoots about common people. They do not understand, that it is equally insulting and humiliating for an individual to get something (awards, rewards, promotions etc.) they do not deserve, as snatching away is, which an individual morally, ethically, and lawfully deserves.

They lack patience, empathy, and compassion; failing to understand how painful it is, for an innocent, sincere, and an honest individual, to be insulted and humiliated time and again. (failing students deliberately, who do not deserve to fail, constitute insult and humiliation in public)

The work of an administrator includes choosing right people, at right point in time, at right places, and in right frame of mind, for a particular job profile; this is done to utilise strengths of that human being to the fullest, and to make sure that their weakness do not cause harm to any other individual including themselves; moreover, even their weakness gets transformed into an advantage for good, honest, innocent, and deserving people. (for  e.g. if a teacher has a weakness of shirking work responsibility, the same (work) can be used to teach the student to work independently)

Every man is proud of what he does well; and no man is proud of what he does not do well. With the former, his heart is in his work; and he will do twice as much of it with less fatigue. The latter performs a little imperfectly, looks at it in disgust, turns from it, and imagines himself exceedingly tired. The little he has done, comes to nothing, for want of finishing.

In the above quote read the term ‘MAN’ as all the members of the human race.

They are indeed proud of their acts and consider it as a part of service being rendered to their motherland. (India)

That logic fails me.

How on earth can aiding and abetting suicide be considered as an act of benevolence or an act of service to the motherland?

I simply fail to understand.

Hence, I came to a conclusion – they can even take the lives of their fellow countrymen and countrywomen for the sake of saving themselves, following orders, and for protecting their own brethren.

They extract their vengeance by manipulating A.C.R./A.P.A.R. (Annual Confidential Report/Annual Performance Appraisal Report) if one does not comply with their demands; making an innocent individual look like a hardened criminal capable of rapes, sexual harassment, and mass murders. 

They do not act after careful observation, thinking, reasoning and analysis, rather, their actions are often impulsive, based on whims and fancies, that are often biased.

If one thinks, one can register a complaint and air their grievances against harassment of the doctors in other medical colleges like P.G.I.M.E.R, Chandigarh, India or Army Research & Referral Hospital, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi; S.G.P.G.I, Lucknow; P.G.I.M.E.R & R.M.L Hospital, E.S.I., Basaidarapur, Delhi, and other institutions and establishments, run and administered by Govt. of India, and respective state govt., and get redressal, then one is completely mistaken because they all are hands in glove with each other. I even tried that. This is how they maintain their hegemony (Hazing)

This incident occurred during the year 2011-2012, and thereafter, I have written a complaint letter/e-mail to almost every authority, ministry and court in India, including Honorable President of India, Indian Army Headquarters, Hon’ble Supreme Court, and still awaiting justice, the clock is ticking.

There have been frequent suicide incidents at A.I.I.M.S., New Delhi (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), due to harassment, either directly or indirectly.

Husbands and wives, friends, family members are often instigated to act against each another, on some pretext or the other, rather discreetly. They destroy every hope on which an individual depends, one by one, slowly and gradually, they take away everything. (DIVIDE & RULE) These people with military mentality have a typical characteristic i.e. they would make the same person whom you fight for, or took a stand for, or tried to protect, insult and humiliate you, irrespective of the reason for you taking a stand i.e. a conscientious compulsion; in order to break down an individual, mentally and physically making him/her start questioning his/her own sanity. They cannot tolerate disobedience. Some people, who happen to be subordinate to them, cannot handle such an abomination and prefer to commit suicide. This is the height of their destructive capability.  

  • Divide and rule (or divide and conquer, from Latin dīvide et īmpera) in politics and sociology is gaining and maintaining power by breaking up larger concentrations of power into pieces that individually have less power than the one implementing the strategy.

Sometimes the husband/boyfriend/friend/brother is proved to be suffering from a psychiatric ailment, in need of a psychiatric treatment, and the wife/girlfriend/girl/sister is made to behave like an extremely loose character, selfish women, and vice-versa. This would create a deep sense of insecurity and suspicion amongst them. They try to create rivalry amongst spouses, brothers, sisters, and other family members; they have to get their job done at any cost (price payable, only by the subject); they lack morals, ethics, and principles.

All because mutual fight makes the subject weaker, and renders them incapable of fighting mental harassment being meted out by their superiors; forcing them to follow every unethical, blatantly illegal, and immoral order. But when a situation becomes extreme, some people prefer to commit suicide rather than suffering such abomination.

If any subject refuses to be subservient to the people with a military mentality, then they would create such an environment around that subject; wherein, irrespective of the decisions (right or wrong) made wisely, a subject always loses (both personally and professionally) and gets insulted and humiliated.

A trend I was made to believe is prevalent amongst Indian armed forces too, though I beg to differ, as army men duly take care of their brethren. Same is being followed at A.I.I.M.S, New Delhi and all the other major government health establishments. The administration is partially controlled by armed forces and Intelligence agencies. (they act as advisors; provide advice, keeping their own interest at the forefront)

They lack empathy and compassion. For them, a common man is simply a chess piece in the game of chess with no rights.

Are they Sadists? This allegation requires further investigation (the tendency to derive pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from inflicting pain, suffering, or humiliation on others) It should be differentiated from Schadenfreude

Even doctors from armed forces are involved in these acts; rather than being ashamed of it, they feel proud of the blood of common people on their hands.

I was made to believe, this is how they would teach subordinates to respect their superiors.

You can just google— ‘suicide’ and ‘A.I.I.M.S.’, and you will come across many such incidents.

I was threatened with dire consequences if I don’t comply with their demands. I was told that my life would be in a serious jeopardy, and I would not be allowed to work, study anywhere, or marry anyone, or to have a peaceful life; I and my family would have to bear the consequences. 

Mind you, these men/women are highly inept, incompetent, thoroughly corrupt (misuse of power), and lack empathy and compassion. They use ingenious methods to get their work done, of whom, mostly are authoritarian, dictatorial, and blatantly illegal. They propagate ‘slavery’ or ‘bonded labour’.

They can label a person arrogant, overconfident, and rude, if s/he refuses to follow their orders (defies subservience), or tries to challenge their decisions and decision-making acumen; it’s immaterial, whether the order or the decision happens to be unethical, immoral, or blatantly illegal. 

So, if you happen to get involved in an accident while driving, or while walking across a road, think a thousand times, because it might have been engineered by our very own homegrown intelligence agencies, while one keeps on crying, continuously blaming our ‘Karma’, all the way home, that is, if one remains alive, these intelligence agents would be busy planning, or trying to execute their next escapade. Yes, you would be shocked, they are capable enough to make a murder look like an accident, even in front of the whole crowd, in broad daylight; this is their level of destructive competence. No wonder, residents of Indian administered  ‘Kashmir’ hate Indian Armed Forces and Indian Intelligence agencies.

I would definitely want every Indian citizen to know how their hard-earned ‘tax’ money is being misused/abused by such people in Intelligence agencies, into manipulating them and getting their work done.

When they (intelligence agencies and police officials) could not provide me with valid reasons for the above mentioned criminal behaviour, they put forward a lame excuse “do not worry, these people will pay for their sins/crimes at an appropriate timing. (KARMA)”

How lame an excuse is that. Why can’t you stop something which is blatantly illegal, unethical, and immoral, happening right in front of you, with you having the power to stop it?

If everything has to be done by ‘KARMA’, leave your jobs, why waste public money, why to form a government, let GOD run everything.

The methods employed to achieve their objectives are as follows.

1. Hazing  Hazing

Hazing is the practice of rituals and other activities involving harassment, abuse or humiliation used as a way of initiating a person into a group.

Hazing is seen in many different types of social groups, including gangs, sports teams, schools, military units, and fraternities and sororities. The initiation rites can range from relatively benign pranks to protracted patterns of behaviour that rise to the level of abuse or criminal misconduct.

Hazing is often prohibited by law and may comprise either physical or psychological abuse. It may also include nudity and/or sexually based offences.

Hazing may also include subjecting the pledge to severe sleep deprivation until physical or mental impairment or hallucinations, including cardiac, respiratory, digestive, or excretory disturbances, are induced, and deliberate food poisonings unbeknownst [(usually used with ‘to’) occurring or existing without the knowledge of] to the pledge, sometimes through food outlets that are owned or franchised by members of the group, as well as public incidents, stunt accidents and

vehicle collisions directed at the pledge by other persons using false identities who are unfamiliar to the pledge,

and the practice of

“The Silence”, which is to pretend not to know anything about the hazing or anything about the arguments being presented by the hazing, in order to force the pledge to doubt his or her sanity or self-worth.

The stress/tension that the subject suffers, forces him/her to lose his/her reasoning, analytical and thinking abilities, therefore forcing the subject to lose temper on a regular basis, or conduct multiple attempts to hurt other human beings, thereby proving in due course that the subject has a criminal mindset. Even the subject himself/herself starts doubting his/her innocence and starts taking/feeling responsible of all his/her acts.

“The Silence” is exercised through covert means of infliction, at a distance, which makes it difficult for the victim to prove to law enforcement or to others. This method usually attempts to make everything that could go wrong, go wrong to the fault of the pledge, even when such errors are discreetly inflicted by the hazers. The hazers may deny the validity of the pledge’s witness to events, discoveries, ideas and inventions, tangible reality, or falsify personal relationships.

“The Silence” may include the hazers’ speaking in cryptic puns and double-entendre in order to either communicate their instructions to the pledge in a manner that they cannot be held accountable for or to mislead the pledge. They may mislead the pledge due to a financial conflict-of-interest, for instance, a hazing by a family who is in charge of a guardian trust belonging to the pledge, or due to taking unlawful advantage of the pledge, their person or their property rights. This form of hazing may be unlawfully executed in order to force the pledge to release the hazers from their liabilities, as an act of Extortion.

When the hazers are associated with a larger organization, for instance, a major university (Indian Army, Indian intelligence agencies and A.I.I.M.S., New Delhi in the above mentioned incident) that controls the local public hospitals, law enforcement agencies; a pledge may encounter abusive behaviours or neglect when seeking needed medical help when the doctors or personnel are of the fraternity. This may also occur when the pledge seeks help from public employees who are also associated. This is done in order to isolate the pledge from himself and his needs and from others. Dissonance can produce feelings of group attraction or social identity among initiates after the hazing experience because they want to justify the effort used.

Rewards during initiations or hazing rituals matter in that initiates who feel more rewarded express stronger group identity. As well as increasing group attraction, hazing can produce conformity among new members. Hazing could also increase feelings of affiliation because of the stressful nature of the hazing experience. 

These feelings are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims, who essentially mistake a lack of abuse from their captors for an act of kindness. Stockholm syndrome can be seen as a form of traumatic bonding, which does not necessarily require a hostage scenario, but which describes “strong emotional ties that develop between two persons where one person intermittently harasses, beats, threatens, abuses, or intimidates the other.” One commonly used hypothesis, to explain the effect of Stockholm syndrome, is based on Freudian theory. It suggests that the bonding is the individual’s response to trauma in becoming a victim. Identifying with the aggressor is one way that the ego defends itself. When a victim believes the same values as the aggressor, they cease to be perceived as a threat.

The practice of ritual abuse among social groups is not clearly understood. This is partly due to the secretive nature of the activities, especially within collegiate fraternities and sororities, and in part a result of a long-term acceptance of hazing. Thus, it has been difficult for researchers to agree on the underlying social and psychological mechanisms that perpetuate hazing. In military circles, hazing is sometimes assumed to test recruits under situations of stress and hostility. Although in no way a recreation of combat, hazing does put people into stressful situations that they are unable to control, which allegedly should weed out the weaker members prior to being put in situations where failure to perform will cost lives. A portion of the military training course known as Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) simulates as closely as is feasible the physical and psychological conditions of a POW camp.

The problem with this approach, according to opponents, is that the stress and hostility come from inside the group, and not from the outside, as in actual combat situation, creating suspicion and distrust towards the superiors and comrades-in-arms. Willing participants may be motivated by a desire to prove to senior soldiers their stability in future combat situations, making the unit more secure, but blatantly brutal hazing can, in fact, produce negative results, making the units more prone to break, desert or mutiny than those without hazing traditions, as observed in the Russian army in Chechnya, where units with the strongest traditions of dedovschina were the first to break and desert under enemy fire. At worst, hazing may lead to fragging incidents.

Colleges and universities sometimes avoid publicising hazing incidents for fear of damaging institutional reputations or incurring financial liability to victims.

2. Bullying 

Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively dominate others. The behaviour is often repeated and habitual. One essential prerequisite is the perception, by the bully or by others, of an imbalance of social or physical power. Behaviours used to assert such domination can include verbal harassment or threat, physical assault or coercion, and such acts may be directed repeatedly towards particular targets. A rationalisation for such behaviour sometimes include differences of social class, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, appearance, behaviour, body language, personality, reputation, lineage, strength, size or ability. Bullying may be defined as the activity of repeated, aggressive behaviour intended to hurt another individual, physically, mentally or emotionally. Bullying is characterised by an individual behaving in a certain way to gain power over another person. It can be classified into four types:

  1. Physical (hitting, punching, or kicking)
  2. Verbal (name-calling or taunting)
  3. Relational (destroying peer acceptance and friendships)
  4. Cyber-bullying (using electronic means to harm others)

Physical, verbal, and relational bullying is most prevalent in primary school and could also begin much earlier. Cyber-bullying is more common in secondary school than in primary school.

Norwegian researcher Dan Olweus says bullying occurs when a person is “exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more other persons”. He says negative actions occur “when a person intentionally inflicts injury or discomfort upon another person, through physical contact, through words or in other ways.”

3. Workplace bullying occurs when an employee experiences a persistent pattern of mistreatment from others in the workplace that causes harm. This form of bullying can include such tactics as verbal, nonverbal, psychological, physical abuse, and humiliation. This type of workplace aggression is particularly difficult because, unlike the typical forms of school bullying, workplace bullies often operate within the established rules and policies of their organisation and their society. Bullying in the workplace is in the majority of cases reported as having been perpetrated by someone in authority over the target. However, bullies can also be peers, and occasionally can be subordinated. Research has also investigated the impact of the larger organisational context on bullying as well as the group-level processes that impact on the incidence, and maintenance of bullying behaviour. Bullying can be covert or overt. It may be missed by superiors or known by many throughout the organisation. Negative effects are not limited to the targeted individuals and may lead to a decline in employee morale and a change in organisational culture.

The most typical reactions to workplace bullying are to do with the survival instinct – “fight or flight” – and these are probably a victim’s healthier responses to bullying. Flight is a legitimate and valid response to bullying. It is very common, especially in organisations in which upper management cannot or will not deal with the bullying. In hard economic times, however, the flight may not be an option, and fighting may be the only choice.

Fighting the bullying can require near-heroic action, especially if the bullying targets just one or two individuals. It can also be a difficult challenge. There are sometimes when confrontation is called for.

First, there is always a chance that the bully boss is labouring under the impression that this is the way to get things done and does not recognise the havoc being wreaked on subordinates.

I would not mention further details; an enquiry has been ordered by the army headquarters and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Govt. of India) regarding the incident.

They would die at an order, for their nation and they are also ready to take lives on order too. They are proud of it. I do not know if they would follow the same orders if asked to perform the above-mentioned acts on their family members. They would kill, from an infant to an elderly, irrespective of their physical or mental problems, all for the sake of following orders and taking out a grudge.

[Half truth is worse than a lie and a white lie is worst, when done with the sole intention of harming others, hence, made it sure, that the whole truth, as known to me, be presented as such, I do not hide behind women or my juniors, or misuse their abilities for my comforts and progress, or to protect myself like the Indian army and Indian intelligence agencies; hence the truth in this blog is presented as such. I was shocked to know that for them, the rules should be applicable to all with equal force, but want preferential treatment for themselves and their family members; they consider public disclosure of sensitive information to be counterproductive as it would besmirch the reputation of an entire army/organisation for the lapses of few, even though their own behaviour is the exact opposite, i.e. they tend to malign a whole profession for the lapses of few; a whole organisation/establishment for lapses of few; whole life of an individual for a few minor correctable mistakes.

How on earth can a punishment be justified on the basis of heredity, you cannot punish a person for follies committed by his/her, parents or forefathers. You can only warn them and ask them to not to repeat the same mistake in future.

They cannot differentiate between a minor and an adult, even a person dying of cancer/terminal illness or a mentally sick human being would be subjected to equal punishment, as any other human being with an average intellect, without recognising the fact that a disease process adversely affects cognition and mental faculties.

I have worked closely (mostly as a junior or a pupil) with many men and some women with military mentality, (again, I would like to point out, do not generalise my views, it’s my personal experience and opinion, which I have made after careful observation, reasoning, and analyses).

Every law-abiding citizen of a free and democratic country deserves respect,  freedom, and fundamental rights, until and unless he/she has been declared guilty by a court of law.

In my opinion, men/women with military mentality should not be present in the administrative capacity, and decision-making posts in institutions and establishments in civilian areas, where teaching, education, and research are a priority. 

Living beings should never be treated as machines, which people with the military mentality in the Indian bureaucracy, the Indian army, and the Indian intelligence agencies fail to understand. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is a glaring example. They are stubborn, inflexible, self-obsessed, and lack traits like empathy and compassion. In civilian life, individuals are considered innocent, until and unless proven, without even an iota of doubt, otherwise. Hence, if a guilty person gets away scot-free, well and good, because he/she would get caught eventually. But, if an innocent individual receives a punishment, the same cannot be reversed when the truth comes to light. 


because unlike war zone, common people are untrained, and every civilian is disparate from the other. Any kind of compensation cannot replace an irreparable damage done to the psyche of an individual. 

The basic psyche of individuals with military mentality seems to be, that common people are having a gala time at the expense of their sacrifice. They seem to believe that their existence is a boon for the rest of the world, and they deserve treatment akin to that being bestowed upon a deity in a religious place.

Military mentality individuals from bureaucracy, politicians, armed forces, and intelligence agencies fail to understand this basic fact,

RESPECT comes from the heart.

Respect is never demanded, it is commanded.

Loyalty is earned.

If someone doesn’t respect Indian bureaucracy, Indian Army, or any other institution or establishment, or a nation, or a gender because of a valid reason and justification (there is a difference between ‘not respecting’, and ‘insulting and humiliating), bullying him/her into submission and forcing him/her to show respect, should also be considered disrespect to the nation, its people, because it is against the very ethos of Indian democracy and the spirit of Constitution of India. India is a democratic republic, where, every individual has the right to air their grievances, provided it is done in a non-violent (physical) and a democratic manner.

Sadly, men/women with a military mentality are proud of their behaviour. And most of the times, there is no point of return. They would go to any extent to protect their brethren and follow orders. They keep on committing serial blunders while trying to rectify their past mistakes. 

(I am being frequently informed, that not everyone is the same. My answer would be –  An individual who witnesses a crime happening right in front of him/her (and has sufficient knowledge about the past of the offender), which s/he has the power, time, ability, and a valid reason to stop, still lets it happen, the reasons could be many — ranging from brotherly/sisterly etc. etc. love, corruption, future rewards etc. is equally guilty of the crime, as is the perpetrator of the said crime.)

Who am I to change the world?

I believe in the maxim

“Be the change you want to see in others”

Who am I to talk about bureaucracies/armies/intelligence agencies/politicians/teachers of other countries? I know little about other nations, I was born and brought up in India, I am an Indian citizen and, my first and foremost priority, and concern should be about my country, keeping in view, the world at large. Any decision or a policy, which is detrimental to the world at large and beneficial for our nation, cannot be considered beneficial per se, as the whole world is interconnected, inter-related, and interdependent; and such a policy, would boomerang in the longer run with drastic consequences for the future generations.

And to prevent such humiliation and insult, we should take a pledge, to make sure in whatever capacity we can, not to let such inflexible individuals, with a military mentality take administrative/governing and decision-making sensitive posts in institutions, establishments, bureaucracy, paramilitary, police, and armed forces, schools and other educational institutions irrespective of their gender, class, caste, creed, nationality, or religion; otherwise, we would not be respected, rather, insulted and humiliated, in some form or the other, on the world stage, as well as, within our country.  

Let us live to, ‘trust’, the world is showing in us, not just in words but in our acts too. By turning a blind eye to our own ineptitude and incompetence, we will only be compounding problems for future.

A take-home message: People who find faults in everyone else except themselves, can never progress in life, and also, have the ability to make other people’s life a living hell.


I have been trying to improve the quality of facts and opinions presented in this blog, slowly and gradually, as the psychological trauma that I suffered took years to resolve.

I do not need compensation; accepting compensation means more insult and humiliation at the hands of such a system; I only want justice, which I very well know, would never be delivered, as so many years have passed. Hence, I keep on improving and updating the information provided in this blog for the purpose of future use by other citizens, who might be able to prevent damage/loss while confronting a similar situation.

From my personal experience, I would want everyone to realise that nothing changes, howsoever hard one tries, things that are destined to happen (things desired by the system) would definitely happen, but they (people governing the system) would simply change your thought process, which in turn would make you perceive a similar event in an altogether different light (for e.g. if they want us to get insulted and humiliated, we will have to drink that bitter ale, but they would modulate or numb our perception of the bitterness). From, my perspective this means what one has lost (love, family, reputation, time etc. etc.), and the damage that has already been done would never be reversed. So, whatever the authorities (intelligence agencies/administrators) interpret, pray to GOD, that they are smart enough to analyse your behaviour correctly, otherwise, like me, you would always have the feeling of getting duped at the hands of your country, a feeling which eats you from inside and can never be extinguished. I cannot change my nature, but I would want you to imbibe in your soul that Indian authorities are extremely shrewd and profit-minded; so never ever get into trouble with them, never challenge them. Otherwise, you will repent throughout life, like me; getting castigated for a crime that I never intend to commit and a punishment which I never deserved. 

Indian authorities and intelligence agencies are extremely proud of their acumen and intelligence abilities. Never challenge them or the repercussions might be devastating.

THEY HAVE A FIRM BELIEF THAT THEY ARE EXTREMELY SMART AND THAT they can manipulate common people to carry out their errands with extreme efficiency. It is this false belief of theirs that I wanted to challenge and hence disprove. My success lies only up to a point of achieving this improbable task.

One should never forfeit gratitude due to anyone; I am grateful to every person; be it my teachers, relatives, friends, superiors, elected representatives, military men/women, administrators, intelligence agents, people with military mentality etc. for imbibing in me, what is the true value and meaning of being a civilised human being: they taught me what not to become; they taught me how would the people around me think of me if I would behave in a similar manner; they even taught me what impression I might be leaving out on the future generation. And to top it all, they taught me the root cause of all the conflicts amongst various nations across the world.

[Note: There is a flip side also, which also in some way defines helplessness of a common man: I am being able to write such a blog only due to the benevolence of above-mentioned agencies, as they have absolute control over everything that exists. Had I been corrupted by the behaviour of the above-mentioned people or tried to display sadistic traits during my ordeal, I wouldn’t be here writing this blog. This is one more stringent regulation under which these agencies work.]

    I am appalled and disgusted at the alleged unpardonable behavior of those military men you have had the misfortune to interact with!
    They are aberrations in the system and are outnumbered by good men in reality!
    We military men are from the same society as the rest of the country so a few bad apples should not ruin the whole crop!
    For every bad person there are thousands of dedicated and devoted individuals to take on the mantle of guardians!
